Job Details:

The Loan Officer at HBL Microfinance Bank is responsible for identifying and developing business opportunities by promoting the Bank’s loan products to potential clients. The role involves assessing customers’ financial needs, conducting business and credit evaluations, processing loan applications, verifying customer information, and ensuring compliance with organisational policies and regulatory requirements.

The incumbent will manage and monitor assigned loan portfolios, maintain strong relationships with clients, ensure timely loan repayments, and proactively identify and resolve repayment issues. The position also requires maintaining accurate documentation, delivering quality customer service, supporting financial inclusion initiatives, coordinating with internal teams to resolve client concerns, and contributing to the achievement of branch business targets while maintaining service quality, compliance, and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and approach potential clients within the assigned area.
  • Promote HBL Microfinance Bank’s loan products and achieve assigned business targets.
  • Assess customers’ financial positions and repayment capacities through appropriate financial and credit analysis.
  • Prepare, verify, and process loan applications and supporting documentation.
  • Conduct customer due diligence and ensure compliance with KYC requirements, Bank policies, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor assigned loan portfolios and maintain regular contact with clients to ensure timely repayments.
  • Identify and address potential repayment issues in coordination with the Branch Manager and relevant stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate customer records, field visit reports, and loan documentation.
  • Cross-sell relevant banking products and services where appropriate.
  • Ensure compliance with service quality standards, consumer protection practices, and workplace safety guidelines.
  • Resolve customer complaints and coordinate with internal teams to address operational issues.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by management.
